Book and Movie Reviews

Books and movies are like apples and
oranges.
They are both fruit, but they taste
completely different.

500 Days Of Summer.

500 Days of Summer
Director: Marc Webb
Actors: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Zooey Deschanel
Genre: Drama, light-comedy
Rating: (out of 5) ***

There are two types of people in the world; men and woman.

Right from the beginning of the movie, you could tell it was going to turn out unique. The director (Marc) has a fantastic style of keeping the story intriguing, the time lapses keep the movie fresh and give us an undeniable feel of "wanting to know what happened". As usual, i loved Joseph's acting, of course the same with Zooey. A great movie, you wouldn't want to miss a romance without a love story.

It's a story about a man who finds love, but the woman he fell in love with has a reverse thought on love and miracles. The plot is revolved around the main actors, and the character development is focused on Tom, when he comes to a conclusion about his theories about love. Through the movie, the scenes become cheesy, but it felt good to watch. Not like your basic love story, for once there is a huge and perky twist in the end.

The movie has a message behind it. The director and the story-writers do a good job at trying to show the views that it is important to do what you want and not what you're forced to do by life. It also emphasizes greatly on the message, "Love is coincidence"

Watch it if you're in the mood for a good, solid drama between two people. Light humor, work crushes and the ongoing need to figure out love. Wouldn't watch it again, it's a one time thing that will stay with you forever.
